Yorba Linda Family Chiropractic is a Wellness Focused practice. Corrective postural care can improve the immune system and help your spine to be healthy for your lifetime.
With so many of us now chained to our desks and computers, I have begun noticing several postural trends. Let me mention a few that I have assigned names for:
- Sitter’s Syndrome - This is what it sounds like. Headaches, muscle tightness, neck pain, back pain, numbness in your feet can all be due to poor posture while seated and lack of flexibility.
- Computer Neck - Again, a postural issue that can cause headaches and muscle tension.
- Swivelitis - This is what happens when you sit at your desk and swivel in your chair to reach for items and end up straining your muscles and causing muscle fatigue and weakness.
I hope you appreciate my humorous terms for what can be some very debilitating problems that occur when you are at a desk and computer for hours at a time. With our corrective care focus, we can help you recover from these symptoms or avoid them all together.
